  • There is on-street parking available around Lambton Park. Come early to get a good spot.

    We love our Lambton neighbours, so please be mindful of parking. Avoid blocking driveways, laneways and access to private residences.

  • Yes! However, because it’s a public space with a large crowd, please be mindful of looking after your children.

    There will be an HBC info tent set up centrally where lost kids can assemble. We recommend letting your children know about this before you arrive. We also recommend keeping your phone number on your child.

  • Whatever you would normally bring to a picnic! E.g. a picnic rug, your own seating if required, any food and drink.

    There will be vendors selling food. No alcohol will be served on site.

  • As per the Newcastle City Council guidelines:

    The City permits alcohol consumption in most parks between the hours of 8am and 8pm only. All alcohol must be consumed from cans or plastic cups. Bottled wine must be poured into disposable cups, however, the use of single use plastic cups is discouraged.

    Smoking is prohibited in all parks.

  • Yes, there will be a number of temporary portaloos set up around the Lambton Oval in addition to the existing Lambton Park amenities.

    Wheelchair accessible amenities are also available in the public toilet located on Morehead St.

  • No, it’s free!

    Lambton Park Carols is a free community event brought to you by Hunter Bible Church in collaboration with our generous sponsors.

    While entry to the event is completely free, we've also brought together a delightful range of food, drink, and amusement vendors for you to indulge in. Please note that these offerings are available for purchase.

  • There will be fireworks! We can’t imagine finishing the night any other way. The fireworks finale kicks off around 9pm and lasts for roughly 15 minutes. It’s genuinely spectacular, so stick around!

  • Every year we’re dependent on good weather to run Lambton Park Carols in the open air.

    If there is heavy rain, we will need to call it off.

  • Yes, as long as pets are on a leash and well behaved. Please keep in mind there will be loud fireworks nearby.
